Grandma's House

Grandma’s House is a cozy 1,000-square-foot home, conveniently located just outside the town of Collbran, and filled with warm, nostalgic charm. The home offers easy access to the Grand Mesa (12–22 miles), Powderhorn Mountain Resort (20 miles), and Vega State Park (10 miles). 

Clint’s parents, Phil and CJ, purchased the property in 1979 and lived there on and off until their passing in 2024 and 2026. Clint bought the property around 2003 and lived in the house while his daughters were young and his parents were in Arizona. Today, it’s rented as a vacation home, and we fondly call it “Grandma’s House” because we’ve tried to preserve elements of the home’s antique charm and honor the family who once lived there.  We've kept many of CJ’s favorite furnishings and preserved some of the family's history in the artifacts scattered throughout the house.  

The rental can accommodate up to six guests. The full kitchen features both a wood-burning and gas stove and oven, along with a dining area and a full-size table and chairs. The comfortable living room includes a wood burning stove and full-size sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space. The two bedrooms—one quite small and the other quite spacious—both feature queen beds. For children who prefer to sleep close by, the main bedroom also includes a generously sized walk-in closet that stores a fold-out cot. The home has one bathroom with a walk-in whirlpool tub and overhead rainfall shower head. The front covered deck is perfect for watching the scenery and passing activity, while the fenced backyard is ideal for letting the dog run, grilling on the BBQ, and relaxing around the propane fire pit.
